Predestined/Predestinate means: destined, fated, or determined beforehand. When something is predestined, it means it has already been determined beforehand what it should be. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. We can conclude from this Scripture alone that God has predestined us to become His children and receive the benefits of His salvation. However, this salvation comes through our belief/faith in Jesus and the finished work of the Cross. Predestination relates to our purpose and final destination and what the Father has prepared and planned for those who choose to remain in Him. Everyone is invited by the goodness and love of God to come abroad the elect ship. This is done through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
