Predicted Chelsea XI to play West Bromwich Albion - Ramires for Lampard as only change Match to be played on Tuesday 11th February 2014 at 20:00. Venue: The Hawthorns, West Bromwich. Chelseawill be looking to build against West Brom on a win against Newcastle United, which took them to the top of the Premier League. Jose Mourinho’s side haven’t played spectacular football this season but they have ground out results at the right time and they are now in the position where they have to look over their shoulder. Here’s the side Mourinho could go with for the trip to West Brom. GK – Petr Cech Cech is one of the most reliable players in the first team squad. He looks settled and confident at the moment, providing extra leadership at the back. RB – Branislav Ivanovic Ivanovic has been Mourinho’s primary right-back throughout the season and there’s no reason to drop him at the moment. CB – Gary Cahill Cahill has turned into arguably the most important centre back for the club. He offers good presence in the back four and reads the game well, which makes it difficult for the opposition to build any momentum. CB – David Luiz With John Terry suffering from a slight muscle problem, there’s another chance for Luiz to continue through the heart of the defence. LB – Cesar Azpilicueta If Azpilicueta isn’t offered a new contract in the near future then it will be criminal because he’s producing outstanding defensive football at the moment, as well as adding width in attack. RM – Willian Willian seems to have settled nicely into the pace and style of Premier League life. He looks a threat and has the ability to stay out wide as well as getting involved with the play centrally. DM – Nemanja Matic Matic had an outstanding game against Newcastle United and should keep his place. He’ll sit and protect the back four. CM – Ramires It’s a big ask for Frank Lampard to play two games so close to each other so Ramires could come back into the midfield, urged to control the tempo of Chelsea’s play. AM – Oscar Oscar will continue in the hole behind the main striker. He can create something out of nothing so the Blueswill probably try and get him on the ball as quickly as they can. LM – Eden Hazard Hazard is in the best form of his career at the moment. He’s fresh off a hat-trick which will fill him with confidence and he should be looking to improve on his goal tally even further. He could easily get on the score sheet. Who do you think should start for Chelsea against the Baggies?
