Prepare for the battle of Transylvania. Silvania , Vlad the impaler and Dracula will be a very tough lineup to meet in early sept. Much tougher than we first thought. Still we not even think about it to cut the lenght or altitude. We planned for a beutiful, tough adventurerace and so it will be!! Now we can guarantee it:) Mihai Zlavog and Andrei Tale who are two very strong Romanian mountainrunners made a testrun of the Vlad Impaler route recently. This is the first loop of Dracula. They made it in 14 hours at a fast steady pace, not so far from racespeed !!! Though they had some longer rests they still confirm the route is very very challenging!! Prepare for changed ropetimes for Dracula and maybe earlier start Maybe as early as 04.00. All this new fact will be presented in good time before the race. But, as we said before, take this race very serious and do your homework at the hills and fells. Still we belive the winners time at Vlad will be sub 10 hours, but its a much different thing for the Dracula runners which are guaranteed to meet a real monster.
