Prepare yourself - Rant. Surely I cannot be the only one recognising the absolutely deplorable exploitation of the ISIS/ISIL situation unfolding by the media. Not only is the media granting them the public exposure they crave - but are also instilling a unwarranted sense of fear in the public domain. I’m not naive, and I understand the concepts of the difficult situation but it would appear as if the media is singlehandedly transforming a overseas minority into a entire sub-culture of Australia. I see daily, media crews harassing citizens of this country and clearly exaggerating the truth. Honestly, it’s appalling. Personally I am only friends with two people of whom are Muslim - I can vouch that they’re some of the nicest people I know! So please allow the government and defence force to do their job and only report of the issues that are relevant and most importantly beneficial to the safety, social equality and future of this country - not your weekly pay-check.
