Preparing for Auditions: 1. Song of your choice (but you may sing a song from the show) a. Bring a CD or ipod/mp3 player if you want accompaniment b. You will be asked to sing a portion of that song, please don’t be offended if we cut you off early, it is due to time constraints. 2. Monologue: You will choose a monologue to read at the audition. -Read through the monologue. -Choose an interpretation of the monologue -(ex. happy, sad, excited, angry, etc.) -Practice speaking the monologue out loud. -Make sure to project so that we can hear you during your audition. 3. Headshot (a picture of your head): Either hand us a copy of a photograph of yourself, or email a headshot to Mrs. Dos Santos. 4. Biography (Bio): Either hand us a copy of your biography, or email it to Mrs. Dos Santos at: *Examples will be posted on the bulletin board by the Music Dept. If you are called back for a specific role: 1. You will be told to prepare to sing a song for that role* 2. You will read the lines for a specific character* 3.
