Preparing for the mommy tears. I will never forget the little - TopicsExpress

Preparing for the mommy tears. I will never forget the little sixth grader who was terrified of me. I was constantly saying, April, sweetie....I need you to look me in the eye when I talk to you... I will never forget the seventh grader who said Mom...Will you come watch me cheer? I wondered how that bashful little girl ever made it onto the cheerleading squad because she was so shy. I cried throughout the game because of the million watt smile she wore the entire night and how her voice was the loudest. Before she left middle school, she would come to me and say Ma....you better check that math teacher. She said I cant have my modifications! Lol I soon wished my quiet little April would return. Lol she is the reason people want to teach. She is open about her learning disability and has no problem telling those who try to limit her because of a label, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Tonight, I will be sitting in the audience bawling my eyes out, watching her not only graduate, but give the commencement speech at South Florida State College. April Jones.....I am so proud of you beyond measure. I always knew you could do whatever you set your mind to, but you have far exceeded my expectations. Words cannot describe the joy you have brought into my life. You are one of the success stories I tell my ESE majors about having high expectations for students. NO LIMITS!!!! Just WOW.....cant wait for tonight... congratulations, sweet, crazy, beautiful daughterof mine!! Enjoy this moment you have worked so incredibly hard for.
