Presbytery Mission Detroit Presbytery has partnered with Thika Presbytery in Kenya. The clean, flowing water we take for granted is just not available there, so this presbytery has already dedicated one well, a handpump and a pump house to the glory of God on the grounds of the Presbyterian Church in Magana. Now children can line up and drink their fill! Even trees can be planted and watered in this arid land! All because of the generous love of Presbyterians in Detroit Presbytery! However, a similar well was attempted in Kitua, Kenya, but workers struck a thick layer of rock and major drilling had to be called in. Now a pump powered by solar panels and a new water storage tank are needed. This means $10,000 more is needed.
