Presence is what were searching for . . its the purpose of my repetition of experience, resonance, rapture, repeat. Yearning our way into our bodies, into relationships with ourselves, and the people and worlds around us. I taught coach pitch little league last year, and it seems like this is exactly where we are in societal evolution. We are 9-10 year olds when it comes to understanding the nature of our consciousness, and its habits. We dont know where we need to apply influence and focus. This may seem like an insult, but its the most hopeful thing I can think of. we are just kids, and there is so much more to learn, so much more to engage. we have entire lives to address once we begin to take strides in the areas we are having avoidance issues with right now. All of the healing work I have ever done, the book I worte, the treatments I developed and the art I have engaged in, has all been tailored toward bringing our souls into our bodies, and then into the world around us. Just like my goal in little league was to teach the boys to hit from a coach, so that they could address the batters box when a kid pitched to them. the gurus and quotes we choose to listen to and engage are Coach pitch . . they are not part of our REAL world. They are meant to inspire perspectives so that we can use them when we engage, BUT WE STILL HAVE TO ENGAGE. No one else can do that for us. No one can swing a bat for a young player, and we are all young players. Kid pitch is competitive, it is scary, and unlike coach pitch He is trying to strike you out. He may even be trying to hit you. The inspiring quotes dont help here ... they make it seem like it is supposed to be easy, like coach pitch. they dont tell us how to stand in against a wild world and try to hit something coming at us really fast. It takes kids YEARS to learn to hold their ground in a batters box without stepping out of the box when the pitch comes. years. We need to understand it is supposed to take us just as long, and that continued facing fears is the whole point. The world isnt trying to scare you, its pitching to you. The toughest part of focus that we can address is the idea that stepping into the batters box is an opportunity to hit, not a chance to get hurt or strikeout. Without being in the batters box, without being engaged, we cannot embody divine presence, or change anything for the better. We are getting better. The perspective matters. Everyone in your world is pitching to you, dont take existence personally. Engage.
