Present Day Djs No envy , no hate or jealousy involved with how Old School Djs feel about some of the Newer Djs, my problem is most Newer Djs rely on the technology and that replaces much of the skill done manually , back in the day we had an effect called Phase shifting it was done manually , New Technology call it a Flanger and its a button that does it , as well as the echo effect , the problem now is we allowed the Manufacturers of Dj equipment dictate how we spin music , It was the Dj that created this concept of spinning ( record playing ) , this is one of reasons why there are so many Djs out there , its become too easy to master a craft it took years to learn , all that has changed and created a new Breed of Dj that will under cut you and anyone else just to get some light shined on them , another problem is happening , Gone are days of a resident Dj , the market is so crowed With so called Superstars there is no room for anyone , Thats why we have Dj Pauly D and Paris Hilton , this was a Skill not many could achieve on Vinyl , and its a shame , this was truly a art form that has fallen to the wayside and many people are out of work because of it , Recording Engineers , Vocalists , backup singers , musicians , Record stores , Record Lables all for the Technology To make thing s easier for people so before you embrace this new technology look at what has transpired in the last 15 years , just saying ...
