Presentation wise, Superintendent Beck is hitting a solid triple this evening at the District Wide SAC meeting (Billy Beane style). She is using text message polling technology with the audience and the responses are shown real-time on the presentation screen. She is incredibly data-driven and is explaining Common Core and Smarter Balance Assessments. I missed the first portion of the meeting that covered the Strategic Plan and will need to listen to the replay tomorrow. So far, I like what I see out of Dr Beck, and her presence is a welcomed, overdue change to the LOSD.
