Preservationists gathered on a recent Sunday at the Old, Old Jail in historical Downtown Franklin also known as The Big House, which is being rescued from the wrecking ball just in the nick of time. Once again, Mary Pearce and the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County came to the rescue. The building was purchased from the city of Franklin in 2013; now the fun and fundraising begins in earnest as preservationists and community leaders chip in funds to bail the Old, Old Jail out of its state of total disrepair.
