President Barack Obama plans to tap Navy Vice Adm. Mike Rogers to be the next director of the National Security Agency, the Pentagon said today. Obama also plans to appoint NSAs chief operating officer, Richard Ledgett, to become its next deputy director. NSAs current director, Gen. Keith Alexander, has said he plans to retire in March. Rogers will take over the agency as it works to reform its intelligence collection following the disclosures of former contractor Edward Snowden, who has revealed many once-secret practices.
