President Barack Obama will expand a program that allows foreign graduates of U.S. colleges to work in the States for up to 29 months. Obama addressed the need for more skilled employees within the technology industry. Therefore, foreign graduates with scientific and engineering backgrounds will be allowed to participate in this program. Obama plans to take executive action as soon as Thursday where the immigration legislation will give longer term visas for skilled foreign graduates. Vivek Wadhwa, a fellow at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University said, Speak to anyone in Silicon Valley, and they will tell you theres a talent shortage.
