President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has, with immediate effect, dismissed the Deputy Director for Operations of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Mr. Albert Chelley. According to an Executive Mansion release, the Liberian leader, in her letter dismissing Mr. Chelley, said she took the decision after he was found culpable of “serious violations of the policies and ethics of the Government.” The former DEA Deputy Director for Operations has been requested to report to the Ministry of Justice for the ongoing investigation related to his conduct. He has also been requested to turn over all Government property to the Director of the Agency, Mr. Anthony Souh. Liberia is getting better day by day.
