President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan congratulates Dr. Willy Obiano as the new Governor elect of Anambra state. He also congratulated the people of Anambra state for choosing their new governor through legal, credible, free and fair election. Mr. President thanked the chairman of INEC professor Atahiru Jega for a job well done for conducting a free, fair and credible election in Anambra despite pressures mounted on him by some disgruntled elements. He urged the losers to accept defeat honorably and congratulate the winner Dr. Willy Obiano. When our correspondent visted the incumbent governor Mr. Peter Obi to hear what he had to say about the election, Obi was busy awarding more contracts for the betterment of Anambra state and its people. Nevertheless, Obi congratulated Anambrians and OBIANO for a successful election even as he called on the losers to join hands to move Anambra state forward. Many of the defeated contenders could not be reached on phone, as Ngige was said to be busy begging Tinubu on phone to forgive him and give him time to pay him back the money he borrowed from him, which led to his (NGIGE) phone to remain engaged for over 1 hour we were calling him before the filling of this report. On the part of Ifeanyi Uba who contested under LP, we were told not to disturb him as his doctor had given him sleeping pills to help him overcome the shock. Meanwhile the report reaching us suggests that the PDP candidate Comrade Tony Nwonye has congratulated Dr. Willy Obiano and pledged his solidarity with him to move the state forward.
