President Obama and Medal of Honor: no relation I am struggling to listen to President Obama as part of the celebration awarding the Medal of Honor to 24 duly deserving men from previous combat operations. I am struggling because it pains me to see someone who is the epitome of weakness and represents the diametric opposite of honor, integrity, and character drone on about those who embody the highest standards of courage, vigilance, sacrifice, and American resolve. I don’t give a doggone about the progressive socialist critics and detractors who will decry my words. It would have been better if a current living Medal of Honor recipient narrated this ceremony. To be subjected to someone so devoid of the commitment to our American principles and Constitution read prepared empty words, stumble over names and crack jokes making this more about him — it is indeed painful. The Brotherhood of Warriors is a special and unique group and is bonded by shared experiences of the horrors of combat. President Obama demeans that Brotherhood and due to his edict to weaken our military strength and might, God knows how many will have to give that last full measure of devotion to this great Nation. Regardless, a hearty Bravo Zulu and Airborne to those who were welcomed into the distinct and honorable group of American heroes known as Medal of Honor recipients. Steadfast and Loyal!
