President Obama captured Cuba today without firing a single shot!!! Thank you Pope Francis for getting these two Presidents together. President Obama and President Raul Castro agree with the Pope. Today I am proud of President Obama and I feel total disgust and disdain for despicable treasonous kiss ass Republican Marco Rubio. President Obama made a historical decision today and he should have all of Americas support. But no, hateful Marco Rubio the child of refugee Cubans that benefited from the generosity of the American people now casts inflammatory language against one of the best presidents this nation has ever seen. Of course CNN gave Marcos a forum to spew his hateful treasonous venom unabated and unchallenged. Congratulations President Barack Obama! I joined the Marine Corps on October 1960.At that time I thought it was wrong to have an embargo against Cuba because from the beginning of the embargo we all knew that the people hurt the most in Cuba would be the people themselves. Worst yet the embargo separated Cuban families in the USA from their families in Cuba. Where was the humanity in that policy? Reminds me of what is going with the separation of Mexican families and the deportation of the parents while the children are kept in the USA mostly with strangers. It aint right! Anyway I remember that I was a radioman just before the invasion of the Bay of Pigs in Cuba. I would tune in to the radio frequency of the Marines training the ill-fated anti Cubans that wanted to overthrow Castro. They trained in the same area we trained. I was tasked with operating a PRC-10 (the radio was nicknamed a Prick Ten) and it had two nobs for adjusting frequencies and squelch. Kennedy was the only President to bless and invasion like that against Cuba but regretfully he withheld air support for the invaders. I think he did not want to piss off the Russians that were supporting Castros regime at that time because if Kennedy involved the US Navy then it would have been a declaration of war. The idea was for the anti-Cubans to invade Cuba through the Bay of Pigs then continue with a revolution marching from town to town towards Havana ... similar to Castros successful revolution. Problem was Castros forces were waiting for the Bay of Pigs invaders..... end of story until today.
