President Obama cautions patience as folks protest killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Black folks have been patient since 1863, if not earlier. Dr. King explained Why We Cant Wait. When he is not clowning on the Colbert show, perhaps our President might read that book. Im not hating on the President, and I realize that he has to be measured as he leads the entire United States, including the flawed grand juries, the crazy racists, and everyone else. Still, the shucking and jiving (yes) on Colbert seems a misuse of his time, especially in these troubled times. Why not visit and HBCU, Howard is right up the street, and have a town hall with students?
