President Obama is an avid golfer, so I’ll put this in golf terms: Sir, your fellow Democrats want to take a mulligan on Obamacare...…Ten Senate Democrats have now broken ranks and signed on to a letter by New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, urging Obama to postpone the deadline for individuals to buy health insurance. After all, how can the IRS punish people for not buying something they can’t even access? The 10 Democrats want to delay it anywhere from two months to a year. Many are facing reelection in red states. But some are liberals like Diane Feinstein, who finally admit that Obamacare wasn’t ready for prime time. Ironically, if these 10 Senators had just bucked Obama three weeks ago, and voted for the House bill to fund the government but delay Obamacare, there would’ve been no shutdown, and no embarrassing website crashes. House Republicans took a lot of flak, including some from me, for their tactics. But at least they can recognize a disaster BEFORE it strikes.
