President Park Geun-hye held a summit on Monday with Dutch King Willem-Alexander at the presidential office. The two leaders presided over a signing ceremony to seal a 19-million euro deal in which a South Korean consortium won a bid to upgrade the capacity of an experimental reactor at Delft University of Technology and to build a cold neutron research facility. It is South Koreas first nuclear reactor technology export to Europe. The two countries also agreed to cooperate in building a new atomic reactor worth 500 million euros in the Netherlands and signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in developing atomic energy and managing water resources.
