President Peter Mutharika, congratulation for winning with flying colours presidency of Malawi. As you assume the highest position in the Malawi Government, please do not commit an offence which cost your predecessor. Mama Banda lost the position due to DIVOTING MOST OF TIME IN PROVOKING WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST AND THE CLOSEST FRIEND, TANZANIA. The Malawi-Tanzania Lake Nyasa conflict was not only unreasonable but also unnecessary time consuming. Had your predecessor researched, she would have found out that ALL WATERS LOCATED AT BOUNDERIES OF TWO OR MORE COUNTRIES ARE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN OR AMONG,AS THE CASE MAY BE, THOSE COUNTRIES. There is no ground for clinging to what the colonialist did in respect of map they drew to show, by mistake, that the whole lake is in Malawi. We have corrected many mistakes committed by the colonialists, why dont we correct that mistake also, given that international treaties as to international waters have more and clear legality as opposed to a maps drawn erroneously! That unreasonabe, unfounded and groundless claim of all Lake Nyasa water cost your predecessor in the following ways:- 1) While Malawi has many internal problems to solve, she spent much time in trying to win a war which she knew she would sooner or later be a loser 2) Malawians and Tanzanians have been interacting very friendly and that saga tainted that good relation. Hence a good number of Malawians have been not happy with that situation 3) Some Malawians who have good wits were not happy having unreasonable president who made unreasonable claims to provoke friendly neighbours. 4) The saga was potentially an initiation of war between friendly neighbours and war is one of the biggest enemies of economy. The Malawians know about that. 5) People strive to cement good relation, so when one person, with no just cause, does anything against that , that person can rightly be taken to be an enemy of peace and development. In my opinion, those are the factors which led to the downfall of your predecessor. I wish you success in leading Malawi and in curing wounds in the relation between your country and your most friendly neighbour the United Republic of Tanzania. God bless you.
