President Pnoy declared that the Pilipinos are worth dying for, and I would really like to believe that on account of his father who died at the hands of a powerful politician closed to Ferdinand Marcos. But yet, ex -President Cory ( her mother )and now Pnoy ( the son ) who is now the President never brought to justice the mastermind who assassinated his father. If it is true that the Pilipinos are worth dying for, then they should create a tribunal to find out who was the man behind his fathers execution in the stairway of the Philippine Airlines. Why would any one wants to give his life in vain considering the history of the country from which too many heroes died for nothing. The death of Jose Rizal is also one of the greatest tragedy of a national hero of our times, executed with the consent of the Catholic church by the Spanish civil authorities. Despite of his death, the Pilipinos has embraced the Roman Catholic Church. Today, it is not surprising that the church does not celebrate nor memorialize his death. So the question of dying for the Pilipinos appears worthless if past history is to be the judge. Our Central form of government does not care for heroes, much less so are the people - Klimmy Gaviola
