President Ram Baran Yadav has urged the High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) to hold election by bringing the dissenting parties into consensus. President Yadav made this urge during a meeting held with Coordinator of the Committee and Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Democratic, Bijay Kumar Gachhadar at Sheetal Niwas on Thursday. Talking to media persons after the meeting, Gachhadar said the President urged the HLPC to be more active in creating a favourbale environment for the coming election s by holding talks and discussion with the dissenting parties as soon as possible. On the occasion, Gachhadar familiarised President Yadav about the latest political development and decisions of the HLPC. The MJF-Democratic Chairman said that President Yadav expressed his view that the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) would be held on November 19 as election is the proper means of ending the existing political stalemate. HLPC Coordinator Gachhadar shared that the coming meeting of the Committee, scheduled for next week, would make decision to hold talks with the dissenting parties including the CPN-Maoist. He further said that the Committee was ready to make any kind of sacrifices if the dissenting parties make written commitment of participating in the election . Leader Gachhadar said the date for the election would not be changed from November 19 as environment conducive to election s has been already created. The 25-point Ordinance should not be scrapped, he added.
