President Sirleaf Suspends 3 at Labor Ministry, River Gee Superintendent Daniel Johnson; Commends Officials at Lands and Mines, Agriculture and General Services Agency (MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Tuesday, August 13, 2013) President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has suspended, effective immediately, the following officials of the Ministry of Labor who were absent from work when she visited their offices at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13. Suspended for one month without pay are: Deputy Minister for Administration, Attorney J. Cole Bangalu; Assistant Minister for Research and Statistics, Mr. Richard Ngafuan; and Assistant Minister for Regional Labor Affairs, Mr. Prince Korvah. On the other hand, the Liberian leader commended officials of the Ministries of Lands, Mines and Energy, and Agriculture, and the General Services Agency for being at work when she visited their respective places of work. In a related development, and based upon the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Superintendent of River Gee County, Mr. Daniel Johnson, has been suspended, effective immediately, for one month without pay for violation of Government’s procurement and financial rules.
