President Vladimir Putin left Australia so early because he was reportedly snubbed by the western leaders during the group of 20 summit in Brisbane, Australia. Before attending meeting, when shaking hand with Canadian prime minister, he was told to get out of Ukraine, and he also was severely criticized by president Obama and UK prime minister David Cameroon during the summit. I used to think that president Putin and Obama would have a constructive bilateral discussion on the sideline of the G20 summit, keeping the solution to de-escalate the tension between the west and Russia as well as the half year-long armed conflict in the western part of Ukraine. But everything was completely different. Putin walked out of the meeting angrily and sadly , and I expect he will be more active and aggressive in Ukrainian crisis. And the west will also unveil the new phase of economic sanctions against Russia next month after meeting in Brussels, escalating the tension and confrontation between the west and Russia. This is really a #new #Cold #War .
