Press Release Col (R) Abdul Jabbar Abbasi the Chairman Pakistan Saraiki Qaumi Ittehad along with the rest of the members of the Supreme Council condemn the use of Sticks, Rubber Bullets and Tear Gas Shells on the PAT and PTI protesters by the law enforcement agencies. The protesters which comprised of not only men but also senior citizens, teenagers and women, remained peaceful for two weeks and do not deserve this inhuman treatment. Moreover, the use of force against the Media Personnel and Reporters of TV channels is not understood and is to be condemned by all means. In a democracy, Media is one of the strong pillars of state, and to prevent the media from displaying/covering a true picture of the ongoing events is a point of serious concern. The un-armed media personnel who are in the heat of the battle and performing their job do not deserve such a treatment. The PAT and PTI leaders are requested to exercise constraint and resort to dialogue for peacefully resolving the ongoing crises in the larger interest of the state. Whereas, the PAT and PTI protesters are also requested to exercise constraint and remain peaceful in their endeavors to bring a positive change in our beloved homeland. They should not engage with the law enforcement agencies since, they are following the orders passed to them. At a juncture when our Armed Forces are engaged in Op Zarb-e-Azb, defending the territory on both the Eastern and Western fronts, the LIC ops and the covert battles/ops within the country, the political turmoil and the aggravation of situation at the political front is the last thing we want. This is also creating an adverse effect on our crumbling economy and further tarnishing the image of our country abroad. The present Government and its leadership is requested to resolve the ongoing crises at priority before the situation aggravates and the Prime Minister is requested to step down for a temporary period till the time the Electoral / Voting Process is not cleared by an independent inquiry committee. All the political parties are requested to step in and play their role in early solution of the ongoing crises. May Allah Almighty be with us in these testing times and may we emerge towards a prosperous and flourishing Pakistan after termination of this crises. Ameen.
