Press Release DATE: November 13, 2014 TYPE OF INCIDENT: Dilapidated and Unsafe Residence Removed From Ridgecrest Neighborhood. LOCATION: 1429 W. Boston Ave. RESUME OF INCIDENT On September 23, 2014, the Ridgecrest Planning Commission conducted an abatement hearing concerning the property located at 1429 W. Boston Ave. This property was subject to a fire several years ago and became unsafe and a blight to the neighborhood. The Planning Commission subsequently passed a resolution authorizing the removal of the unsafe structure. This week the residence and adjacent the property were cleared using City of Ridgecrest Tax Allocation Bond funds. Attached are before and after photos of the property.
