Press Release DATE OF EVENT: 04/07/2014 TYPE OF EVENT: Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Driving with a Suspended/ Revoked License. LOCATION: 1500 Blk N. Alene St. SUSPECTS: Brian Jay Sanders (49 YOA) On 04/07/14, at about 2300 hours, Sgt. Dampier conducted a vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations in the 1500 Blk of N. Alene St. During Sgt. Dampier’s investigation, the driver who was identified as, Brian Sanders was found to have a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and several thousand dollars of U.S. Currency. It was determined that Sanders possessed the suspected methamphetamine for the purpose of sales. Sanders was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, such as methamphetamine and had an active warrant for his arrest. Sanders was arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail- Ridgecrest for the above listed charges. PREPARED BY: Det. A. Tucker
