Press Release DATE OF EVENT: April 14, 2014 TYPE OF EVENT: Parole/ Probation Compliance Check LOCATION: City of Ridgecrest and surrounding areas in Kern County On April 14, 2014, the Ridgecrest Police Department conducted a compliance check on subjects who are on active Parole, Probation or Post Release Community Supervision (Ab109) living within the City of Ridgecrest and surrounding areas (Buttermilk Acres and Inyokern). Several of the subjects had active warrants for their arr3est. The primary goal of the compliance check was to deter criminal activity in the Indian Wells Valley. The operation was comprised of approximately 15 law enforcement officers from the following agencies -McFarland Police Department -Kern County Probation Department -Shafter Police Department -California City Police Department The Ridgecrest Police Department’s P.A.C.T. Volunteers assisted in the operation by providing logistic support.
