Press Release Dated September 11th 2013 SEPTEMBER 11TH 2001: THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF USA September 11th 2001, was a colossal moment in history and it was quite evident that even before the dust from the World Trade Centre rubble had settled the world would not be the same again. The terror of civilian planes crashing into buildings not only set a new precedence in the modern theatre of war, but it also ushered in a new era that brought raw political Islam head to head with 21st century secularism. In the years and wars that followed the world witnessed the USA and its allies wreak havoc across the Muslim world. The world’s only superpower was visibly shaken and in a desperate attempt to maintain its standing as a political juggernaut it lashed out in violence and mayhem that served only to weaken its integrity. Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, white phosphorous, drones, wars for oil and gas, the preservation of the pirate state of Israel; this was just a snippet of the legacy being left behind by USA, and with each year that passed the power of September 11th 2001 to rouse the public into intervention and conflict slowly began to dissipate. 12 years on and the position of USA in the world arena has already begun to fade; having abysmally lost two battlefronts to sustained guerrilla warfare its military prowess is now being challenged by famine plagued countries such as North Korea, and caused it to humiliatingly dither on Syria. What was an enemy, initially, cornered in the caves of Tora Bora has now found sanctuary and resolve in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. And as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula continue to gain in strength and momentum, rapidly resembling a modern army, USA continues to haemorrhage from a crippling recession and head down the path to destruction. September 11th 2013 should therefore not be a day where Americans mourn those who were killed 12 years ago on that historic morning, but rather it should be a moment of outrage at their own government for creating a legacy that made them the target. A legacy which has been brewing for decades, but alas only came to light after 19 Muslims forced the world to remove their rose coloured glasses.
