Press Release Dudley Police Department Saturday, September 27, 2014 Two individuals were charged by Dudley Police with attempting to cash fraudulent checks. On Wednesday, September 25th, two male subjects entered the Webster Five Cents Savings Bank on West Main Street. They attempted to cash checks that bank personnel determined to be fraudulent. Both subjects left the location when police were called. One party, later identified as Tequan Vail age 24 of Hartford, Ct, was located in the parking lot of the establishment while a second subject, identified as Todd V. Calhoun Age 23 of Hartford, Ct. fled the area on foot. A search of the area commenced and Mr. Calhoun was located walking eastbound on West Main Street near the Dudley Water Department. Both men have been charged with Conspiracy, Uttering a Forged Document, Forgery, and Attempting to Commit a Crime. Mr. Calhoun was also charged with Resisting Arrest and he was arraigned at Dudley District Court on Thursday, September 25th. Mr. Vail has been summoned to appear at a later date. Both subjects are also suspected in similar acts which took place previously in Dudley and the surrounding area. Officers Shane DiDonato, James Annese, and Sergeant Dean Poplawski are investigating this case.
