Press-Release: NSF seeks chancellors intervention NSF Protest against Vice-Chancellor for One-man one post at JU, Jammu, Dec 30: Seeking intervention of Chancellor NN Vohra, NSF continues protest against VC for one-man one post for officials in Jammu University. Addressing media persons, NSF Province Vice- President PP Singh said that most of the university professors/ official had been holding various posts in varsity due to which the scholars research and study of postgraduate students were suffering. He further said that it was very surprising that few officials have holding around four key positions of Varsity, inspite of directions of Chancellor of University of Jammu NN Vohra, directing varsity authorities to appoint one man on each post but the varsity administration, decree fall on deaf ears. There are more than half a dozen officers in Jammu University, who have been holding multiple posts for the last more than two years, but the administration has deliberately turned a blind eye towards the matter, Singh said. He said that Dr Manoj K Dhar has been occupying five key positions in the university. Dr Manoj K Dhar has been portion as Register. Dhar is also holding the charge of Director, School of Biotechnology, which comprises three wings, bio-chemistry, microbiology and bio-technology, Co-ordinater DST Special Science Package. He said Prof.Rajnikant has been portion as Director Ramnagar Campus. He is also holding the charge of Director, ASC. Prof.Dhian Singh Bhau has been given the charge of Director Physical Education, University of Jammu and also holding the charge of Director, Yoga. He added that another senior Prof.Jasber Singh has been given the charge of Provost Boys Hostel, Chairman NSS, besides Head FM Centre in campus. He also said that Prof.Vivek Gupta has been given the charge of Chief central Library and HOD Physics Department. Qayoom Malik President University Unit also said that some more professor of Ju has been occupies more than two or more key posts. “We fail to understand that how a person occupying more than one post delivers justice with the administration as well as the students,” Qayoom Malik said while questioning the rationale behind such move. He further said that it was surprising to notice that one person has been managing the works on multiple posts; few officers have been holding one charge in Jammu University main campus and also holding the charge of other campus, more than 100 of kilometres distance from each other. He further said that though there were several officers in the varsity, who were given no responsibility, while some favourite’s officers/ Professor of Vice Chancellor, were given too many posts. Among those who were present in the protest included, Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, JV Singh, Gopal Singh, Zulfi Singh, Amit Sanotra, Rishikesh Rana, Varun, Anees Charak, and others.
