Press Release SRINAGAR November 24: Expressing his pleasure over the release of Mr Ghulam Nabi Fai, Executive Director of Kashmir American Council, Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that Dr Fai through his selfless services has represented the aspirations of people of Kashmiri and the freedom movement. We salute his services towards freedom struggle of Kashmir, said Syed Ali Geelani. He pinned the hope that Dr Fai after his release would continue to work with more interest and enthusiasm for freedom cause and will pursue his mission for right to self determination. In his telephonic conversation with Dr Fai, Syed Ali Geelani congratulated him and enquired about his well-being and about the days spent in jail. Dr Fai responded and said that he was contended while in detention and the period infused a new strength and moral in him. Dr Fai said that while in jail he did what he could and never neglected his duties regarding the freedom movement. He pledged that soon after his release he will begin his Kashmir related activities with more interest and commitment. Syed Ali Geelani appreciated Dr Fai for his determination and said that people of Kashmir are striving for just cause and right to self-determination is their birthright and they will never surrender. It is the moral responsibility of civilized nations that they should support Kashmiri nation and play their role to resolve Kashmir dispute through UN resulutions and said that history stands testimony that no freedom struggle has ever failed so far.
