Press release 6 September 2012 SAINSBURY’S CALLS FOR CHARITIES IN MELTON MOWBRAY TO COME FORWARD Sainsbury’s has called on the people of Melton Mowbray to nominate a good cause for the foodstore to support when it opens on Nottingham Road in the autumn. The chosen organisation will become the store’s Charity of the Year and benefit from a range of fundraising and volunteering activities undertaken by the store’s colleagues. To suggest a charity or organisation, please write to Thomas Issitt, Sainsbury’s Melton Mowbray Charity of the Year, Freepost BM 8409, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 7BR, or email [email protected] with their name, phone number and email address, as well as the following information: • Name of charity • The charity’s aims • Why it should be considered • Whether the charity has a team of supporters who would be able to work with the store All nominations will need to be received by Friday 27th September. The store’s chosen Charity of the Year will be announced at an upcoming Taster Day to be held at Peras’ conference centre in Melton Mowbray on 15th October, in the run-up to Sainsbury’s opening later in the autumn. Once completed, the 38,000sq ft store will create new full and part-time jobs for people living in the town and surrounding areas. John Davies, Store Manager for the upcoming Sainsbury’s in Melton Mowbray says: “Many of us at the store live in the local area and want to help make a positive difference in the community.
