Press release 6 September 2012 SAINSBURY’S CALLS FOR CHARITIES IN MELTON MOWBRAY TO COME FORWARD Sainsbury’s has called on the people of Melton Mowbray to nominate a good cause for the foodstore to support when it opens on Nottingham Road in the autumn. The chosen organisation will become the store’s Charity of the Year and benefit from a range of fundraising and volunteering activities undertaken by the store’s colleagues. The store’s chosen Charity of the Year will be announced at an upcoming Taster Day to be held at Peras’ conference centre in Melton Mowbray on 15th October, in the run-up to Sainsbury’s opening later in the autumn. Once completed, the 38,000sq ft store will create new full and part-time jobs for people living in the town and surrounding areas.
