Prestige Promotions host Black Dyke! ‘An Evening of Top Class Music at Guildford Cathedral’ Black Dyke Band: Conductor Dr. Nicholas J. Childs Supported by Prestige Promotions Band: Conductor Julian Bright Guildford Cathedral, Saturday 5th April 2014 7.30 PM We are delighted to invite you to join with us in an evening of top class music at Guildford Cathedral on Saturday 5th April at 7:30 pm. Featuring one of the best, most successful and certainly most famous brass bands in the world the Black Dyke Band conducted by their Principal Conductor Dr Nicholas J. Childs. Black Dyke Band is the most recorded band in the world with over 350 recordings and growing every year. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world having won the European Championships twelve times, most recently in 2012, the British Open no fewer than 29 times (most recently 2006) and the National Championships of Great Britain 22 times (most recently 2008 and 2009). In 2009, and again in 2011, 2012 and 2013, the band became Champion Band at the English National Championship This evening will also see the launch of a brand new brass band, The Prestige Promotions Band conducted by Julian Bright. Handpicked to include brass players from around the country with playing experience in bands such as Black Dyke, Grimethorpe Colliery and Brighouse and Rastrick Bands to name a few. We are delighted that a percentage of the proceeds of this concert will be donated to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
