Hello All Following a meeting on Friday we just wanted to keep everyone informed of the on-going plans in relation to the proposed protest at the Football League Offices by Leeds Utd supporters. We are fully aware that Leeds Utd supporters intend to visit the Football League Offices at Preston Docklands on Tuesday 6th January 2015 between 10am-12pm to conduct a peaceful well organised protest. Preston Police are more than happy to assist and facilitate this planned peaceful protest and we are continually working with some of the event organisers. As mentioned a policing operation is in place for the event with two dedicated officers on duty throughout to assist and support attending supporters on the day. You will be able to identity these officers as they will be wearing high visibility blue tabards. A dedicated protest area will be set up with safety barriers which will be close to the Football League Offices allowing supporters to gather safely and conduct their protest while also allowing the surrounding businesses premises to go about normal business as they return for the New Year. We are currently still in the process of attempting to locate and negotiate a safe parking area nearby in which supporters can park coaches/vehicles prior to gathering for the event. If we are able to locate a mutually agreeable parking location then we will let everyone know as soon as possible with directions. Preston Police will continue to liaise with organisers throughout the Christmas and New Year period and will keep you updated with any changes or developments.
