Prestun is feeling a bit better than right after surgery :) His scar is healing nicely, although there are some corners that are still a bit opened and he cant go swimming, there is no sign of infection right now - which is excellent. He is hyper-aware of the port in his head, which is a small lump that will be used to infuse crazy medication directly into his brain. This will never be removed. He will have it forever and it will prevent him from ever playing sports like soccer or football (a small price to pay for his life, but still upsetting to him). He is keeping his nose tubie right now to get additional calories at night. While his weight is alright despite some uncomfortable side effects, at any moment that can change and we want him to remain healthy instead of thin. His medicine leaves him a bit uncomfortable in certain areas, which is difficult. His mood goes up and down. Some days are harder than others for him. When he doesnt feel as well, he cries often but he has been generally happy despite everything, which is why we love him. This week will start some aggressive radiation in addition to his chemotherapy and next week, he will be in NJ from Monday through Friday, so that will be rough. Thank you again to everyone who has been praying for him. I know many of you have battles of your own and it means the world that you are caring about Prestun and our family. Thank you also to all who have donated; it goes without saying that the smallest amount is making is easier for us to continue to fight this battle against cancer. I am very grateful for everything and so is Prestun. We look through these comments and photos and thank the powers at be for so much love.
