Pretty Little Cottage For Two... yes yes yes ska and reggae people....brother and sisters of soul...sitting here on a lovely autumn day in the UK countryside, and Im reminded of that wonderful tune, and of course that its only one week now until the man behind it is going to be onstage in London! Im having a Stranger Cole session on the decks....Pretty Cottage, Rough and Tough, We Two, Arte Bella, Banagarang, Just Like A River, When I Get MY Freedom, Run Joe, Love Me Today, Cow In A Pasture...the list goes on and on!! From the earliest ska, through rocksteady and reggae, one of the greats. :) Im very excited about this one, because hes a vintage artiste ive yet to see live...friends from Oz, Germany and the US have all said how lovely the man is and great onstage....and, to make it even more special, queen Patsy, aka Millicent Todd, his original 60s singing partner, is here aswell!!! Double dynamite, this is truly a one off special, never before had the chance to see either here... So...hope to see some of you at the 100 Club next saturday, 22nd...and will see you at the front dropping legs to sublime classics like this one....:)
