Pretty excited to get one of these Astons into the showroom. In 2002 a special limited edition of the DB7 Vantage was produced to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. 24 examples of the DB7 Vantage Jubilee were built, 19 for the UK and 5 for Europe. This vehicle is number 13 of the 19 vehicles ever produced for the UK market making it an extremely rare vehicle. Some of its unique features include a magnolia hide leather interior, coachwork finished in special order Jubilee Blue with dark walnut wood veneers and custom Jubilee marquees. All 24 UK cars were pre-sold and their lucky owners took delivery at an exclusive ceremony held at Thornbury Castle. The cars were especially hidden from the excited new owners during the daylight hours in a large marquee especially labelled ‘Tinnars Moat Craft Fair’ – Tinnars Moat is of course an anagram of Aston Martin. After a lavish meal, the sides of the dining marquee were dropped and the cars were revealed. They were handed over along with a matching watch. There were only 9 coupes produced and 10 Volantes (convertibles). Each car was individually numbered on the sill plates. At around $50k more than a standard DB7 at the time this car was always going to be a collector’s item.
