Pretty good stretch of days for BLTX, these last couple of weeks. A bit more intimate, a bit more sincere. We earned some, nothing astronomical, but there really is something about working on a book all the way through the writing and designing and down to the printing-binding-trimming (which we actually do ourselves nowadays [I taught Chingbee how to do the production herself here at home, so about 70% of all the books we sold from the YBB table were printed and assembled whole hog here at home, and 100% of all books sold yesterday were printed-bound-trimmed by her]) and seeing some sort of extra-economic capital come out of it (emotional capital, creative capital). Panalo! 2015 being more or less Year Six of the BLTX project, Ive been quite nostalgic about it, trying to temper that sentimentality with some self-criticism and some efforts to re-orient, and thanks to Janssen and Francis inviting me to say some words for their writing org Malate, I was forced to type down 1,200+ words about what I personally have been thinking about it, and, based on the townhall meeting we had last night, where it seems/feels we as a group really need to take the project to.
