Pretty good weekend. The only downer was trying to help undo the damage caused by someone who posted the lie about how the ALS Assoc spends its money. I am afraid much damage may have been done to the fund raising drive for ALS research. That cruel and false post hit pretty personal for me. On the bright side Jan and I got the peaches canned, hosted a dinner for some good friends. I got a box carcass all finished (Thousand Points of Darkness Box) and the lid glued together ready to be sized, shaped and sanded. I had to strip the finish on the first box made of Fruitland elm. I am learning what has to be done when working with elm. It is different than any other wood I have worked with in the past. But, it is all done and looking classy. I am currently packing for the three night stay at Ponderosa Park. Really looking forward to that. Somebody thinks I need a list so that I dont forget anything. Even went so far as to start one. I might look at it. haha. You bet I will. I find myself getting ever weaker. I am having to be creative in finding a way to get into bed. My left leg is about to completely give up the ghost. Not sure how do deal with that, but a way will be found.
