Preview of Club action by Andre Polivka Weekend Fixtures Preview Saturday, 25th January 2014 Mini Rugby: The Bantry Minis will be kicking off the rugby weekend with two early trips to the city. The u7,u8and u12 teams are away to Old Christians while the u9 and u10 teams will be taking part in a Blitz Day in Highfield. Kick offs in Cork at 10.20am (meeting at Fire Station 8.20am) Under 13/14 game: The league season is nearing the end for the Bantry U13/14 and they will be facing a local rival in an all West Cork clash v Clonakilty RFC . It will be another good occasion for this young side to measure themselves against strong competition. Kick off is at 11.30am at the Vale in Clonakilty. Under 18: The second phase of the league starts for the U18s after a lengthy break. They travel to East Cork to take on a competitive Midleton side. Kick off is at 12.30pm in Towns Park, Midleton. Sunday, 26th January 2014 Under 16: After their resounding success last weekend over Sundays Well, they make the long journey to the Deise County to meet competition heavy favourite Waterpark. The Waterford side have qualified for this stage of the competition every year at both age group since the introduction of the group stages four seasons ago. This will be a great battle and best of luck to all involved. Kick off is 1.00pm at Waterpark RFC. Juniors: Bantry Bay-Dunmanway West Cork Harlequins The Juniors will try to build on their first league win when they travel to newly promoted Carrigaline on Sunday. Despite being the latest addition in Division 3, Carrigaline have posted some impressive results in the league. It will take another great team effort and all round performance from the Harlequins to make it two in row.
