Preview of the musical Ive created: Five coworkers working an assembly line inspect electronic parts for any defects. Dan M., Liz, and Jerry all notice Adam at the beginning of the line moping and depressed as he slowly picks up part after part and lightly tosses them back into the line. Liz: Whats wrong with Adam over there. Dan M.: He had a bad break up. Jerry: Hes whipped on some girl. Liz: Well is anybody going to talk to him about it? Dan M.: Ive already tried talking to him. All he does is give one word answers. Jerry: (Stops inspecting parts and begins eating on some potato chips) Hes whipped on some girl. Liz: How long has it been? Dan M.: A month. Liz: Really?? Jerry: Hes whipped on some girl. (Eats a potato chip) Liz: Ill talk to him. Dan M.: Oh boy... Jerry: (watches while eating a potato chip) Liz: Adam? Adam: (slowly looks at a part) Yeah?... Liz: I heard about what youre going through. Adam: (tosses the part back into the line) Yeah?... Liz: I know youre heartbroken and its hard but... Adam: (Picks up a part that oddly looks like the shape of a heart) Liz: (after a small pause) You wanna talk about it? Adam: About what? (turns the heart shaped part around with his fingers) Liz: About the break up? About her? Adam: Sure... (tosses the part back onto the assembly line) Dan M.: Oh boy... Adam: She made it look like I was easy come, easy go, I guess thats how she lived Oh took, took, took it all but she never gave... Shouldve known she was trouble from the first kiss she told me her eyes were wide open, making me think why they were open... Dan M.: Here we go again... Adam is Draking it again... Jerry: Sounds like Bruno Mars to me. (Eats another chip) Adam: I gave her all I had but she tossed in the trash, tossed it in the trash, yes she did... To give me all her love is all I ever asked but I guess she couldnt understand was... Dan M.: (sighs) Dan M. & Jerry: Hes whipped on some girl. Adam: Id catch a grenade for her! (catches a grenade) Liz: Adam, what are you doing??? (grabs grenade and throws it far away, an explosion is heard) Adam: Id jump in front of a train for her! (Steps on train tracks of an oncoming train) Liz: Oh my god! What are you doing??? (tackles Adam off the train tracks just before the train could hit him) Adam: She knows Id do anything for her! Liz: Dont you think thats a bit extreme??? Adam: Id go through all this pain!!! Take a bullet straight through my brain! (Pulls out a gun) Dan M. and Liz: WHOA! WHOA! Adam: (Pulls the trigger and drops to the floor) Dan M. and Liz stand there shocked as Jerry stares straight ahead expressionless while eating another chip. Adam: (quickly stands up and continues singing) Yes, I would die for my baby! Dan M. & Liz: Huh??? Jerry: Hes a good make up artist. (Eats another chip) Adam: But she wont do the same... __________________________________ What you all think? Im open to constructive criticism.
