Prez, Sher-e-Kashmir Police Medals announced JAMMU: The Government today announced Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medals for Meritorious and Gallantry Service to 30 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police for their meritorious service during 2014. The medals are awarded on the eve of Republic Day every year. Officers awarded Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service include Additional Director General of Police (MD JK Police Housing Corporation), Mr. Dilbag Singh, IGP (Kashmir Zone), Mr. A. G. Mir, DIG, Armed Kashmir, Mr. M. M. Sadiq and ASI Mr. Balbir Singh. Awardees of Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry are Superintendents of Police, Mr. Imtiyaz Ismail Parray, Mr. Tejinder Singh, Mr. Maqsood-ul-Zaman and Mr. Shoket Hussain, Dy. Superintendents of Police, Mr. Parvez Ahmad Dar, Mr. Zahid Ahmad Lone, Mr. Tariq Ahmed Wani, Mr. Farooq Ahmed and Mr. Baljit Singh, Inspector Riyaz Ahmed Langoo. Sub-Inspectors Mr. Mohammad Saleem, Mr. Jazib Mohammad Bhat, Mr. Javaid Ahmed Dar, Mr. Saqib Bashir Wani, Mr. Salfi Arshid Bangroo and Sheikh Manzoor Ahmed and Head Constables Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Mr. Nazir Ahmed Mir. Constables Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Mr. Basharat Rasool Shah, Mr. Sudesh Singh, Mr. Mohammad Maqbool, Mr. Amit Raina, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Malik, Mr. Mohammad Arif and Mr. Shabir Ahmed. PP Medals: Meanwhile Government of India has announced Presidents Police Medal for Gallantry, Distinguished and Meritorious Service. The awardees include 23 personnel from Jammu and Kashmir Police. Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to IGP (Personnel) PHQ, Mr. Arun Kumar Choudhary and IGP State Vigilance Organization, Mr. Alok Puri. Awardees of Presidents Police Medal for Gallantry are Dy. Superintendents of Police, Mr. Mashkoor Ahmed and Mr. Feroz Ahmed, ASI Mr. Vinod Kumar and Head Constable Mr. Imtiyaz Mohammad. Presidents Police Medals for Meritorious Service have been awarded to SP Mr. Farooq Ahmed Hakim, Dy. Superintendents of Police, Sheikh Zaffar Ullah, Mr. Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, Mr. Rashid Ahmed Mir, Mr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, Mr. Mohammad Shafi Dar and Mr. Mohammad Farooq Reshi, Inspectors Mr. Manoj Kumar, Mir Javaid Ahmed, Mr. Siraj-ud-Din and Mr. Yash Paul Singh, Sub Inspectors Mr. Mohammad Saleem Khan, Mr. Abdul Ahad Dar and Mr. Ghulam Ali Ahangar, Head Constables Mr. Mohammad Afzal Khan and Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khawaja. Director General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar, congratulating the awarded personnel, has stressed upon them to rededicate for public service. He said that the contribution of the Organisation at various fronts of policing has been recognised at national level and all ranks of the force are committed to deliver better to the nation.
