Price: 350,000€. This fully reformed (internally) cortijo on the outskirts of Lucar offers everything you could possibly want from rural country living in Spain, Great views, nice neighbours and a magnificent rural setting with plenty of land to call your own. The cortijo retains most of its original features which the owner went to great expense and trouble to keep. The property also has independent (state of the art, at a cost of 45,000€) energy sources with both a wind turbine and solar power housed in a structure around 170 meters from the main house. The property has generous water rights. There is a little outside rendering to be finished and the swimming pool has not yet been completed although all the parts are there, including the pump etc. The owners also planned to erect a pergola from the tarmac road which they could not begin but, again, everything is there for a buyer wishing to fulfil their vision for the property. Completion of the remaining work would not exceed €8,000 Euros. For personal reasons the current owners have with regret put their dream home on the market. There are two entrances to the property. One is a pair of antique, iron-bound doors giving onto the main hall. The other entrance is at the east end of the property, where the security door is located. Entering the house through the east entrance in the wonderful outer courtyard with table and chairs for that al-fresco dining, you must first pass a state of the art security system with cameras that can be accessed in real time via the internet. This covered space - the inner courtyard - retains all its character and is very light. There is a wine cellar/room and a utility room/kitchen in this area before you enter the main house properly. A second wooden external door provides direct access to the almond orchard. Entering the main house, from the inner courtyard brings you to a study with a staircase leading to the master bedroom with en-suite. This section is independent of the rest of the house. Downstairs off the study there is another bathroom. The study door leads to an impressive dining room with original wooden beams – the wood beams are a theme within all the rooms. Exiting this dining room you come to another big room/hallway and the centre of the house. Off this room there is a spectacular library, the main kitchen and a sitting room. A staircase leads up to three bedrooms, a family bathroom and another lounge/family room and outside terrace with wonderful country views. The library was purposely built and quality wood is used throughout this room. The downstairs lounge is spacious, light with lovely chandeliers and comes with a fire place which has rear doors that can be opened to warm the hallway. The kitchen is traditional as you would expect and its detailed features include antique tiles incorporated on the walls. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are all a generous size, light, spacious and oozing with character and in keeping with the rest of the house. The floor tiles of the bedrooms and bathroom were original features of the house that have been preserved and recycled. The attention to detail is breathtaking. The lounge here is more of a relaxing leisure room and the wooden shelves and cabinets were made to measure and are of excellent quality. The terrace is reached from this room and the views from it are breath-taking. The whole house oozes quality and attention to detail. Very little effort would complete the outside space and make this property a truly splendid country home with everything you could possible require to enjoy your surroundings. The property has many features including two embalses (reservoirs), central heating, radio shower, microwave broadband, satellite TV, outside traditional oven, a well and so much more. Full details can be offered on application.
