Priceless Pioneers Performance! I was conducting my house visit to residents of Blk 70 Bedok South Ave 3 last night. Met Pioneers, Mr Ng and Mrs Ng. They are in their 70s. Mr Ng told me he used to be a musician in an orchestra and asked if I would like to hear him perform. I said I would be honoured to see him perform. So he went to his store room and took out his old accordion. I can see that it has been a while since he last took out his accordion judging from the condition of the plastic bag he kept it in. But he proudly took it out and got himself ready. The video shows his performance with his wife proudly looking on. At one point his wife was happily singing and humming to the song he was playing. It was a delight seeing Mr Ng performing and his wife singing along. Although his eyesight may affect his ability to see his musical score well, he played with so much passion that I feel the immense pride in him. He also said that he used play the french horn but cant play anymore as he has lost many of his front teeth! Very cute Mr Ng! Indeed a Priceless Performance by a Pioneer that I will cherish forever. Thank you Mr and Mrs Ng for making last nights visit so meaningful!!
