Pride of Place today goes to our Ladies who won the Donegal Junior Gaeltacht Championship in the Banks against the strong and fancied Naomh Columba side. The final score of 4-08 to 5-04 was a narrow one point win which was achieved by coming back after a 6 point deficit and playing the conditions well in the second half. Naomh Columba who had a big travelling support - were the stronger side in the first half, playing with a strong breeze. Our ladies, fielding a Senior side comprising of a good selection of those who came through the under-age ranks and those who were returning to play- showed great fighting spirit which was eventually rewarded. Many Congratulations to all concerned...the Ladies committee of Peile na mBán..team management and most of all the players. Maith sibh.
