Priests of the Hollywood Temple of Antinous consecrated this splendid 19th Century bronze replica of the famous Antinous Osiris statue in the Vatican Museums. It is the sort of souvenir which wealthy Victorian travelers brought home from their Grand Tour trips to Europe and Egypt. Flamen Antonius Subia, seen here with Priest Uendi, consecrated the statue during October 30 Foundation Day ceremonies at the Hollywood Hills home of the temples good friend Rick Thompson, who acquired the statue several months ago. The ceremonies commemorate the founding of the Sacred City of Antinoopolis on October 30 in the year 130 AD by Hadrian on the bend in the Nile where Antinous had died a few days earlier.
