Prime Minister Narendra Modis utter silence on continuous - TopicsExpress

Prime Minister Narendra Modis utter silence on continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistan is perturbing. Modi, who talked about his 56 chest during the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, has been mum on this serious issue for quite some time now.Innocent people are being killed and their properties being damaged by heavy mortar shells fired by the Pak Army. Though, as per reports, our Army is retaliating effectively but need of the hour is our Prime Minister must assert his position and say something tangible on the issue. On the one hand, innocent people are being killed and many are leaving their houses and fleeing to safer places to save their lives, our Prime Minister is busy in addressing public meetings in different parts of Maharashtra and Haryana where Assembly elections are being held, perhaps unmindful of the sufferings of the people living near J&K border. One is not against Modis putting in his sincere efforts to see that his party comes out victorious in both the states going to polls on Oct 15 but as the Prime Minister of India, he has to execute other responsibilities in Delhi also. Uttering not a single word against such unprecedented violations by Pakistani Army needs to be condemned. When America could resort to Drone attacks to kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, why cant India do the same thing to destroy terrorist training camps in Pakistani soil? If they kill our five soldiers, we will kill 50 was what was heard in various election speeches of Modi in the recently concluded Parliamentary polls. Now 125 crore people of India are looking at Modi for fulfilling his promises of safety and security of Indian territory and its nationals. The old Hindi saying Laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi mante (A stubborn person would never accept yourlogic) aptly applies on Pakistan. My mother who has witnessed Partition days tells me a lot of stories how retaliatory steps had saved lives of thousands of people who were migrating to India. I am totally against man killing a man because I do not like to kill even an ant. But when it comes to countrys safety, security and honours, we have to take effective steps.
