Prime Minister of Malaysia Mohammad Najib vizits Azerbaijan ‘Violence And Genocide in Khojaly Was Committed By Criminal Elements, Which Are Currently in The Armenian Leadership’ “Our mosques and cemeteries were destroyed, there is no justification for this vandalism” “I’m grateful for Malaysia that it holds a decisive position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and always supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan”, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said after the meeting with Prime Minister of Malaysia Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razak, APA reports. The Azerbaijani President said Malaysia’s position is based on international law and reflects cooperation and fraternal relations between the two countries. “Unfortunately, Nagorno Karabakh and seven adjacent districts are under occupation for many years. Armenia obviously continues violating international legal norms. The UN Security Council, the world’s most important organization, adopted four resolutions, demanding the immediate and unconditional liberation of our territories. But Armenia ignores these resolutions. 20 percent of our territory is under occupation. Armenia has pursued a policy of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis. I would like to recall the Khojaly genocide. There is a fact that hundreds of innocent people were killed. Our mosques and cemeteries were destroyed, there is no justification for this vandalism”, he said. President Aliyev also added: “Violence and genocide in Khojaly was committed by criminal elements, which are currently in the leadership of Armenia. We are carefully following this issue. The conflict should be resolved within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as soon as possible. It will contribute to regional peace and stability. Mr. Minister, I would like to extend my gratitude to you once again for your country’s deceive position on this issue”. Saturday 13 September 2014 APA
